Should I wear my engagement ring and wedding band during pregnancy?

Will my rings fit after pregnancy?

Immediately after birth, you’ll lose about 10 pounds in one fell swoop, depending on the weight of your baby, the size of the placenta, and the weight of all that amniotic fluid and blood you’ll naturally lose during labor.
However, your breasts, hips, and feet will be bigger - and that could be the case of your fingers, too. Most likely, however, the parts of your body that are swollen due to fluid retention will de-puff, eventually.
So be patient and listen to your body. If you feel like these changes are here to stay, embrace them! After all, without them, you wouldn’t have your beautiful baby.

The cost of resizing your ring will vary depending on a few factors, such as:
- The degree of the resize
Although it’s more common to have a ring be too snug after pregnancy, the reverse can also happen. In general, it’s less expensive to make a ring smaller than it’s to make a ring larger.
- Ring thickness
The more precious metal your jeweler needs to resize your ring, then the more expensive it’ll most likely be.
- Precious stones
If your jeweler needs to remove or add any gemstones or diamonds to your ring, that’ll also add up to the final cost. However, keep in mind that it might not be possible to resize rings that are fully set with diamonds or other gemstones, such as eternity bands.
